I made fried chicken in my Air Fryer with a secret ingredient - Ill definitely be doing it again

A WOMAN shared an amazing hack on how to make fried chicken in an Air Fryer and I promise you her secret Ingredient will astound you.

Using the handle airfry_jen she posted the video to her Tik Tok page and showed her 68.4K followers what her secret was to getting a crispy coating on her chicken

 And her secret hack was a packet of…DORITOS! Yep that's right, the popular savoury snack that comes in flavours like Tangy Cheese and Chilli Heatwave.

As we well know it's something you normally serve with a salsa or guacamole dip.  Being ultra creative she used the popular tortilla chip as a coating to make her chicken extra crispy.

She captioned the video Dorito Chicken cooked in the Air Fryer.

Flamin’ hot Tangy Cheese was her flavour of choice and she smashed the chips up to  achieve a crumb like texture and placed the bag of crushed tortilla chips in a tub.

 In a separate container she whisked some eggs

She then dipped some raw chicken breast fillet in the egg wash before placing them in a bowl of crushed Doritos.

Once evenly coated, she put them in the Air Fryer cooking them in Air Fry mode at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. 

She then removed them from the fryer to show us the finished product.

And the result, a near perfect looking plate of fried chicken that looked absolutely fabulous.

Golden and crispy mouth watering pieces of chicken that by the look of things, could give KFC a run for its money.

Fans flocked to her page to comment on the unusual fried chicken mix.

However one follower noted that airfry_jen had effectively made a KFC Zinger burger and added: “Flamin Hot Doritos on chicken fillets is like a KFC zinger x.”
